3. Colloidal synthesis of the CdSe nanocrystals highly compatible with the polymer matrix.
3.1. Obtaining of cadmium complexes using previous selected ligands; investigation of their suitability as synthesis precursors.
3.2. Experimental evaluation and testing of the cadmium complexes and specific synthesis parameters in order to obtain the required characteristics of CdSe nanocrystals.
3.3. Experimental study of the influence of selected ligands and synthesis parameters over the shape, dimensional distribution, emission spectra and quantum yields of the CdSe nanocrystals through specific methods (EDX, XRD, HR-TEM, Spectrofluorometry with TCSPC, dimensional analysis, Zeta potential).
3.4. Investigation of further ligand exchange operations and establishment of the required procedures.
3.5. Purification, dimensional selection, redispersion in compatible solvents with the host polymer synthesis procedure.
